Last Day: Take a stroll through the Rock Springs Nature Center and pause at the breathtaking Pine Tree Forest. 5,000 white and 5,000 red pine trees were planted in the early 1960s. Day 6: You can’t call yourself a true member of Decatur – Macon County until you try the Mac and Cheese at The Beach House. With a new deck making it’s debut in May, this is an ideal way to enjoy the beautiful Lake Decatur views. You can also take a stroll down the boardwalk and rent a pedal boat from Macon Waves, the newest lakeside business.

Day 5: Just opened in 2015, the Forsyth Village Park Disc Golf Course is already a top rated area for groups to get together and play a quick game.

Day 4: Murals adorn downtown Decatur. Here are two of five. Take a selfie in front of any of them, tag it with ‪#‎LimitlessDecatur‬ on Instagram and be entered to win a gift card to Embroidered Expressions!

Day 3: Selfie x 2 today! The staff of Heroic Age have been supplying creative services to the biggest names in the entertainment business since 1992. After you’ve perfected your selfie, head down the street to Fletcher Park. It’s the newest park around, but it is already a part of our community with Chill on the Hill and the 4th of July festivities.

Day 2: The bikini tree has been around since the 1950’s. Despite her age, she still turns heads in her bikini.

Day 1: This local favorite started in 1953 on Eldorado Street. It still serves the community some of the best frozen custard and burgers around.

Here’s your chance to perfect your selfie skills. We’re kicking off a Limitless spring in Decatur & Macon County with a selfie contest April 25th – May 1st. Make sure your phone is charged, your Instagram is ready and your hashtag skills are in peak form. Find daily clues for the selfie locations at LimitlessDecatur.com. Selfie locations will be throughout Decatur, Forsyth, and Mt. Zion.

After finding the location, take a creative selfie next to or in front of the landmarks and post it to Instagram with #LimitlessDecatur. Posting your photo with the hashtag to Instagram automatically enters you into the contest for prizes from Krekel’s, Embroidered Expressions, Del Carmen’s East, Decatur Park District, and Rainstorm Car Wash. Winners will be announced May 2nd.

If you don’t make it to the selfie location that day, don’t worry. Post the photo any time of the week of the contest!
